Workshop

A pair of glasses consists of two semi-finished components: a frame and a pair of lenses. Grinding these lenses to the correct shape and properly mounting them into the frame is a skill in itself. The true craft of opticianry is perhaps most evident in these tasks. We are proud that we still make all our glasses in our own workshop. This allows us to maintain full control over the quality of our products. These activities take place on the first floor and are carried out by people who have been active at Hofstede Optiek for more than 25 years. They work with the most advanced lens-grinding machine currently available.
